Bio

Lee Sang-hyeok (Born: May 7, 1996 [Age: 22]) is a professional League of Legends player known to the Twitch world as Faker. This South Korean gamer rose to fame playing the game Chaos under the pseudonym GoJeonPa. After transitioning to League of Legends, the newly minted Faker was quickly picked up by the SK Telecom in 2013 and made a mid laner for SK TelecomT1.

Faker became one of only two players to win the League of Legends World Championship three times. He won these honors in 2013, 2015, and 2016. The only other person to achieve this accomplishment is Faker’s former teammate, Bengi.

To earn these awards, Faker came face-to-face with Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho. Smeb was the Leagues’s MVP in 2015 and 2016. Faker beat his rival in the 2015 Finals to win an in the 2016 Finals to advance.

Other accomplishments of Faker include:

These accomplishments earned Faker two distinct monikers, “God of League of Legends” and the “Unkillable Demon King.”
